Marina Sailer (born in 1970 in Wizebsk) is a painter situated in Düsseldorf, Germany. In her paintings the artist reveals to the viewer light-flooded palaces from ancient centuries, embedded in a natural environment of the present. Marina Sailer aims to express the connection between humanity and nature as the core topic in her paintings as well as in her patinated timeless bronze sculptures. The artist merges opposing ideas such as the past and the future, the urban and the forest shaping a mysterious yet harmonious unity in the present moment. Sailer’s creative process is very gestural; the artist uses oil and acrylic paint. Her expressive brushstrokes in combination with her understanding of light-effects, another core element in her paintings, the artist manages to create highly atmospheric sceneries.
